What is a QR Code?

QR Code (Quick Response Code) is a two-dimensional barcode that can store text, URLs, contact information, Wi-Fi credentials, and other data. Invented in 1994 by Denso Wave, QR codes are now scanned billions of times daily by smartphones worldwide.

Enter your text or URL, customize the size, colors, and error correction level, then download the QR code as PNG or SVG. For branded codes, switch to Styled mode to apply dot styles, gradients, and upload a center logo. Preview updates in real-time as you adjust settings.

QR codes are widely used for contactless payments, restaurant menus, event tickets, product packaging, business cards, and two-factor authentication setup. Marketing teams use them to bridge print and digital media, while developers embed them in apps for quick data sharing.

Error correction is a key QR code feature — levels range from L (7% recovery) to H (30% recovery). Higher error correction lets the code remain scannable even when partially obscured or when a logo is placed in the center. The trade-off is that higher correction levels produce denser, larger codes.
